We are a Land Conservancy in Cottage Grove, Oregon.
Cerro Gordo Land Conservancy owns 1,000 acres of conservation land on the north shore of Dorena Lake, in the southern end of Oregon’s Willamette Valley. This precious and beautiful land includes a diversity of habitats: upland mixed conifer, oak woodlands, prairie, and riparian areas. All are forever protected from development via two conservation easements. This is in keeping with the sustainable forestry management that the Cerro Gordo community has practiced for the past forty years in the upland mixed conifer forest. Recently, Cerro Gordo Land Conservancy has also obtained grant funding to restore the oak woodlands, prairie, and riparian habitats. In total, Cerro Gordo Land Conservancy is honored to steward some of the region’s most pristine and vital land.
